tsunanaaAdminDiscord and this forum are not competing. They are good at different things,
and using the wrong one is the most common reason a question goes unanswered.
Use Discord for
- Anything urgent. Server down, cannot connect, rank did not arrive,
someone is cheating right now.
- Quick yes/no questions. "Is this mod allowed" gets answered in a minute
there and might sit for a day here.
- Account problems you cannot solve yourself. While email delivery is
broken, this is the only way to get an account unlocked.
- Talking while you play. Obviously.
Use the forum for
- Anything worth finding again. A good answer on Discord is gone in a day.
The same answer here is searchable a year later.
- Ban appeals. They need a record, and they need to not be a live argument
in front of an audience.
- Staff applications. Same reason.
- Bug reports with detail. Steps, timestamps, screenshots — Discord
swallows these.
- Suggestions. So other people can argue with them properly.
The rule of thumb
If you would be annoyed to have to type it twice, it belongs here.
One warning
Discord is where impersonation attempts happen. Nobody on the team will ever
ask you for your password, and nobody will DM you first about a "problem with
your rank". If in doubt, ask in a public channel — a real staff member is
happy to be checked in public.
