tsunanaaAdminFirst, the thing that confuses everybody
Your forum account is not your Minecraft account. They are separate logins
with separate passwords, even if you used the same name for both. Nothing you
do here affects your Minecraft account, and nothing there affects this one.
If you cannot get into Minecraft, that is Mojang's problem and we cannot
help with it.
The normal path
Forgot password → enter your address → a code
arrives → set a new password.
The current problem
Email delivery is broken right now. The code will not arrive, because we
are not able to send it. There is a whole thread about this pinned in Help.
So until that is fixed, the reset path is:
Ask on Discord. https://discord.gg/PfhFcQrYUu
Say which forum name you are locked out of. Somebody on the team will sort it
out by hand.
What nobody will ever ask you for
Your password. Not staff, not in a DM, not "to verify it is you". Anybody
asking is not us. Report it.
Locked out after too many attempts
Repeated failed sign-ins lock an account temporarily. That is deliberate — it
is what stops somebody guessing their way in. Wait it out, or ask on Discord
if you are in a hurry.
After you get back in
Two things worth doing:
Sign out everywhere. Under Security. If you
lost the password because it leaked rather than because you forgot it, this is
the step that actually matters — a new password does not end sessions that are
already open, and that is exactly what this button is for.
Check your sessions. Same page. Anything you do not recognise, end it.
