Apply for the team
Being on the team is mostly being available and unexciting: answering the same question for the fortieth time as if it were the first, and reading a report properly when it would be quicker not to.
What are you applying for?
Support
Questions from new players, help on Discord, triaging reports.
Moderation
Chat, reports, ban appeals. First point of contact when rules get broken.
Building
Spawn, event arenas, anything that has to look like somebody meant it.
Media
Video, screenshots, announcements that people actually read.
Decisions that affect other people’s accounts. Every action is logged with who did it, and the log is read.
Before you start
- You have a forum account and are signed in
- Your email address is confirmed
- Your account is at least 14 days old
- No active ban or mute
- You are at least 16
What happens after you send it
- 1Someone on the team reads it properly, oldest first.
- 2We look at how you behave here when nothing is at stake — that predicts the job better than any application does.
- 3If it gets that far, a conversation on Discord. Not an interview.
- 4A decision, with a reason. Either way, and in writing.
It takes weeks rather than days. A staff decision made quickly is a staff decision made badly. After a rejection you can apply again once the cooldown has passed — that path works, and a good share of any team comes from it.
Your application is private. It goes to the team, not into the forum — your age, your hours and your Discord handle are never published. You can see the status, and withdraw it, in your account at any time.
