Connect and play

The server address, how to add it in Minecraft, and what happens the first time you join.

Getting startedUpdated 4 September 2026about 2 min

You do not need an account on this website to play. The account here is
for the store, the forum and voting — the game itself only needs the address.

The address#

play.ggnetwork.rip

Copy it with the Copy IP button in the header if you are reading this on a
phone and typing it by hand would be a chore.

Adding the server#

  1. Start Minecraft and open Multiplayer.
  2. Choose Add server.
  3. Put anything you like in Server Name — that field is only for you.
  4. Put the address above in Server Address.
  5. Done, then double-click the entry.

If the entry shows a red cross instead of a player count, the client could not
reach the server. That is almost always a version or a network problem, not a
ban: see Cannot connect.

What you land in#

You land in the hub, not in a game world. The hub is a small lobby with
portals — one per mode. Pick the one you want and you are in.

Both modes sit behind the same address. You never need a second entry in your
server list, and switching modes does not mean disconnecting: walk back to the
hub and take the other portal.

The two modes, in one line each#

  • HeartSMP — lifesteal survival. Dying costs you a heart, killing someone

gains you one. The full explanation.

  • HeartGen — generators, income and fights over the map.

The full explanation.

There is no wrong choice here. Your website account, your ranks and your shards
are not tied to a mode.

Before your first fight#

Read the rules. They are short, and the two that catch
newcomers out most often are about cheating clients and about what counts as
harassment in chat. Knowing them is cheaper than an appeal.
