Creating your website account
What the website account is for, how registration and the six-digit code work, and how to stay signed in.
What it is, and what it is not#
The account on this website is separate from your Minecraft account. We
never ask for your Minecraft password, and signing in here does not sign you in
to the game.
You need it for:
- the forum,
- voting and everything that comes out of it,
- your orders and deliveries,
- connecting Discord.
You do not need it to play, and you do not need it to buy something as a
gift for someone else.
Registering#
Go to Create account. You give three things:
A name. Three to sixteen characters, letters, digits and underscores. Same
rule Minecraft uses, on purpose — see
Your Minecraft name for why that matters.
An email address. It has to work, because the next step goes there.
A password. Long beats clever. The check that runs on it rejects the
obvious ones and anything that contains your email address; it does not demand
a symbol in position three.
The six-digit code#
After registering you get a mail with a six-digit code. Enter it on the
confirmation page and the account is live.
The code expires after thirty minutes. If it does, ask for a new one — the
old one stops working, which is the point of the expiry.
If the mail does not arrive:
- Check spam. It is in spam more often than it is missing.
- Check the address you typed for a typo — a letter wrong is a mail delivered
to someone who is not you.
- Wait a couple of minutes. Mail is not instant.
- Still nothing: ask in the help category or on
Discord. Do not register a second account; that just splits your history in
two.
Staying signed in#
A session lasts thirty days. A forum login that expires every day is a
login nobody uses.
You can see every device that is signed in under
Account → Sessions, and end any of them
individually or all at once. Do that if you signed in somewhere that is not
yours. It takes effect immediately — the sign-out is checked on the server, not
just in your browser.
Forgot your password#
Forgot password sends a code to your address. The
same thirty-minute expiry applies.
If you also lost access to the email address, a moderator cannot simply hand
the account over — from the outside, "I lost my email" and "I would like
someone else's account" look identical. What helps is anything only the real
owner could know: order numbers, the address a purchase was made with, the
approximate date you registered.
