Your Minecraft name

Where the name is used#

Everything that arrives in the game is addressed by your Minecraft name:
ranks, crate keys, boosters, everything you redeem for shards.

The account name on this website and your Minecraft name are allowed to differ.
When they do, the name you enter at checkout or when redeeming is the one that
counts — that field exists exactly so a purchase can go to a different player.

Why it must be exact#

The name goes into a command that runs on the game server. The server looks up
that name and nothing else. A wrong letter is not "close enough"; it is either
a different player or nobody.

Nobody guesses on your behalf, and that is deliberate: a delivery sent to a
guessed name is a delivery to a stranger, and it cannot be taken back.

So: copy it out of the game rather than typing it from memory. Especially
underscores and the digit-versus-letter pairs — 0 and O, 1 and l.

If you changed your name#

Mojang name changes are fine, but they are not retroactive. A delivery that was
queued under your old name goes to the old name.

• Deliveries that already went out cannot be redirected. What you got in the

game stays where it went.

• Deliveries that are still waiting can be fixed. Say so in

the help category or on Discord before they run,
with the old name and the new one.

• Anything you buy from now on: use the new name.

Skins#

Your skin is your Minecraft skin — we do not host or change it. The head next
to your name on this site is drawn from your Minecraft profile.

If the profile picture here is wrong or missing, that is nearly always caching
on the way, not a broken account, and it resolves on its own. A skin you just
changed can take a while to appear everywhere.
